Your first visit

The first visit follows a precise path: consultation, clinical examination, diagnostics where needed and a treatment plan.
Before any instrument there is a conversation: the symptoms, how long, at what moments. What you describe guides the examination.
Oral examination and periodontal probing, to understand whether the problem concerns the tooth, the gum or the supporting bone.
The cone beam is used when the question concerns bone or a root and a flat X-ray is not enough. It is not an automatic step.
The doctor shows you the images and the treatment plan is discussed together, before anything begins.
By appointment: Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Two complementary specialisations.
Dr Lorenzo Marotta covers endodontics, periodontology and dental aesthetics; Dr Andrea Marotta oral and regenerative surgery. Complex cases are assessed together.
Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics
Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, University of Catania, 2013. Conservative endodontics, periodontology, dental and facial aesthetics. Trained in Barcelona in the use of hyaluronic acid and non-surgical protocols.
Oral surgery and periodontology
University lecturer, international activity. Oral surgery, regenerative surgery, gum aesthetics, periodontology.

Before anything that may be uncomfortable, we tell you. Local anaesthesia is available for hygiene too, and if you feel pain during the session we stop.
As long as it takes to listen, look and explain what we see. It is not a passing visit, which is why we work by appointment.
No. An X-ray is taken when an answer is needed that direct examination cannot give. If it does not change the decision, it is not taken.
Yes. The treatment plan is discussed with you before anything begins, with the images in front of us.
It is the most useful thing you can tell us, and it changes how we work. Many people say it at the first visit.
I went to this clinic for a dental problem I had been carrying around for a long time and I have to say the experience was really positive. Dr Marotta was very precise and above all gentle, which matters to me because I have always been a bit afraid. The practice is modern and clean, and the whole staff puts you at ease straight away.
